You have a raft that is still in date but wish to sell it? Want to exchange your raft for a similar one but perhaps in a bigger or smaller size?

You need to get a commercial SOLAS raft to comply with new requirements and have no more use for your recreational one?

We list second hand rafts on our website and act as the link between the seller and the buyer.

The following conditions apply:

- The raft has to be "in date" and have been inspected by LIFE RAFTS ETC. in the 2 years prior to the listing.

(This is to ensure that the raft is in good condition and is seaworthy; we do not want to list a raft that we have never seen opened before.)

- You pay only 50 euro to be in added to our database and listed on our website and another 50 euro when the raft gets sold, so 100 euro is our total commission no matter how much you sell the raft for.

- The raft will be listed until it is sold or until you ask us to remove it from our listing.

If you wish to list your raft on our website please send us the following:

- The serial number (so we can look up the servicing certificate and add all the details about the raft).

- Your full contact details (first name, last name, phone number, e-mail address)

- Your location (St. Martin, St. Barth's, Anguilla, Etc.)

- The price you want to sell it for.

The way to calculate the price of a second hand raft is generally done as follows:

(Amounts used solely as an example; to be used as a guideline in calculating the "worth" of your raft.)

Your raft cost 2780 Euro brand new in 2002, the lifespan is 15 years so it is "serviceable" until 2017.
2780 euro/ 15 years = 185 Euro per year
185 x 6 (= serviceable years left since it was manufactured in 2002)= 1110 Euro (= theoretical price of raft)
That calculation works for rafts up to 7 or 8 years old only; they are worth it because they have "half" of their lifespan left (another 7 or 8 years to make 15).
For a raft that is 9 years and older you can divide that theoretical price by 2 (so 555 euro would be the price that you can expect to get for the raft in this example because the raft is 9 years old).
